Subway Fashion: Weird Coat Edition

In case you didn't get the memo, it's freakin' cold in NYC! With this new chill in the air comes the need for people to wear ridiculous coats. Some of this season's most interesting outerwear can be seen on this city's public transportation.

My fashion correspondent Alison (who also happens to be my boyfriend's mom and the owner of several lovely coats) snapped a picture of this woman as she was getting off the Ferry:How did this woman get a hold of Joseph's amazing technicolor dream coat?!

Interestingly enough, I saw a very stylish gentleman with a similar coat getting of the G train last night. His seemed to be more Jackson Pollock inspired and featured a more muted color palette.

So let the fashion lesson be told- don't just go warm, go bold.
