I thought this commercial would never ever stop playing. There was a time when I used to see these fake families raving about Select Dental at least 20 times a day. And then suddenly one day, the commercials stopped.
"But why?" you might be asking yourselves. "Is there still time to brighten my smile?" The answer is a resounding NO. This is because in addition to being involved in several malpractice law suits, Select Dental is now under investigation by the secret service. Gary Anusavice, the mastermind behind this scandalous operation, charged tons of people several thousands of dollars for poor dental work before shutting down his company and leaving them toothless in the dust.

In addition to shitty dental work, Mr. Anusavice has a slew of other goodies on his resume. He was sentenced to four months in prison in 1999 for filing a false income-tax return. He is linked to 11 other dental practices in the US, several of which have been shut down or are under investigation for the same shit. And yet, he has continued to fool people and take all their money and teeth.
So the next time you go to the dentist, get the hell out of there if you see this guy coming towards your pearly whites:

The woods come right up to my house in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and on the other side of the woods is where Gary Anusavice lived when he was arrested again in 2012. The huge 8,000+ square foot Tudor burned down at the end of 2012 and hasn't been rebuilt. When I found a bunch of articles about the fire--I found them last year--and that's how I found out that Gary Anusavice has committed a few crimes, including a $21 million Medicaid fraud. Good thing he wasn't my dentist! I believe he still has like 5 years left of jail time. This was an awful crime definitely!
